Trial begins for accused rapist Anthony Flye

Two portraits were drawn of Anthony Flye during his the first day of his rape trial in Superior Court: One of predator, one of prey.
Flye, 40, formerly of Nantucket, appeared before a jury of six women and eight men. His lawyer, Louis Badway, and prosecutor Silvia Rudman offered their opening arguments in the case.
He is charged with having sexual contact with two women in Swansea from 2004 to 2006. One woman is disabled and was 59 at the time. The other woman was 14 when Flye began sexual relations with her, prosecutors allege.
He is charged with forcible rape, indecent assault, exposing himself and simple assault, on the 59-year-old disabled woman. Charges relating to the younger woman are having sexual relations with a person younger than 16, enticement of a child and carnal knowledge of a child.
Flye is facing other charges, including an alleged escape from custody in 2008. Those charges [...]
