Teen hospitalized after being struck by car
A 16-year-old boy was injured in an auto-pedestrian accident Friday on President Avenue, near Lindsey Street.
Police said Nicholas M. Dillon of 961 N. Main St. was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital after the incident about 9:30 p.m.
The motorist was identified as Alexander Enos, 17, of 94 Bay View Ave., Somerset.
Two other males crossing President Avenue told Officer James Donovan that they stopped when they saw the car approaching, but the victim continued and was struck.
Enos said he saw the two who stopped, but did not see Dillon, Donovan stated. The victim impacted the windshield, shattering it, the officer said.
