Search under way for another wave of city fugitives

It’s the list no one wants to be on.
For the second time this year, police have released a list of the top 10 most wanted fugitives as part of the police department’s Operation Fugitive initiative to clear a backlog of warrants. The initial operation, which was conducted in conjunction with the Massachusetts State Police, resulted in the arrest of 133 fugitives and the cleared 465 charges in the warrant management system.
The latest list includes two people — Michael Marchand and Jorge Fagundes — who appeared on the original list released in March. New fugitives include two wanted on armed assault with intent to murder charges, including a 16-year-old boy who has been linked to a city street gang.
The teenager, Mayoer Sareth Vann, is wanted in relation to the alleged May shooting of a 14-year-old boy on Fountain Street. Three people had previously been apprehended in the hours after the shooting [...]
