Rose kicks off campaign in Fall River for Sullivan’s seat

Getting elected can be tough, and David Rose knows that being a Republican in a heavily Democratic city will make his road even tougher.
Rose, however, isn’t concerned about party affiliation as he attempts to defeat longtime 6th Bristol Representative and Democrat David Sullivan in November’s state election.
Joined by approximately 30 supporters at the Elks Hall, Rose formally kicked off his campaign Wednesday night.
“This city will always be my home,” Rose told the crowd. “Today marks the beginning of one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever taken on.”
A small business owner and father of three, Rose is a lifelong city resident who grew up in the Flint neighborhood. In promising to run a positive campaign, Rose said he was seeking the position because he is not satisfied with the direction the local community and state have taken in the past 30 years.
