Lack of cooperation hinders police in shooting case
Despite a lack of cooperation from the victim of an alleged weekend shooting in Corky Row, police continue to investigate how a 16-year-old man was possibly shot.
Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Gauvin said Officer Nelson Souza responded to a Fifth Street apartment at 12:25 a.m. Saturday, where he observed the young man with a blood-soaked bandage on his left arm.
Gauvin said the only information provided by the alleged victim was that he was shot by the occupant of a vehicle driving through the area. He said police checked the area where the victim said the incident occurred, but no physical evidence was found. He added that no calls were placed to police during the time the alleged victim reported the shooting took place.
