HN Fund looks to provide when other options fail

By the end of 2008, things were going well for Brooke and her family. Just engaged to her only love and father to her two children, with a third on the way, she lived with her family in a three-bedroom home in South Yarmouth.
But things quickly and painfully fell apart for Brooke. On Dec. 18, Brooke’s fiance, Scott, 38, a chef, fell coming out of their home while getting the newspaper, shattering two discs in his back. Because he had already had surgery on his back in 2001 and again in 2004, no doctor will now touch him, effectively leaving him disabled. Also, while in the hospital after the fall, Scott entered into a diabetic coma for two days.
