Genealogists to meet in Somerset

The Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, Bristol County chapter, will meet on Saturday, May 15, at 1 p.m.
This month, members and guests will meet at the Somerset Public Library, 1464 County St. The public is invited to attend. The Bristol chapter will present a program by Sonia Pacheco, who is the librarian archivist for the Ferreira-Mendes Archives at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s Claire T. Carney Library.
Pacheco will speak about the Portuguese-American Archives, believed to be the only one of its kind in North America. She will also speak about Portuguese genealogy.
