Four Corners Arts Center in Tiverton to present film series

Four Corners Arts Center will present a winter/spring film series about different subjects beginning Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. at the Metting House. The film “Man on Wire” will be shown. The 1974 film is about the attempt of Phillipe Petit to walk across a wire between the World Trade Center towers. The film won an Oscar for Best Documentary.
The arts center promotes the arts at Tiverton Four Corners and surrounding coastal communities. It has been showing movies for nearly 15 years. In the late 1990s, it showed a series of environmental films covering topics such as trash disposal and pesticides use. In 1999, it offered a film series featuring young Rhode Island filmmakers.
