Fall River’s Carlton M. Viveiros Elementary School traffic pattern changes to take effect
Traffic pattern changes around Carlton M. Viveiros Elementary School that were approved by the City Council in January to alleviate backups and dangerous pedestrian crossings go into effect Thursday.
School officials ask motorists as well as parents of children who attend the school to be aware of the changes, though police will be at the site to assist and direct traffic.
Lewis Street will be a one-way going south from Slade Street to Dwelly Street with parking allowed on both sides.
Scott Street will be a one-way going south from Slade Street to Dwelly Street with parking on both sides.
Buses will drop off and pick up children on Dwelly Street on the north side between Scott Street and Lewis Street.
Residents should park their vehicles facing south on Dwellly and Scott streets.
