Fall River, Swansea students tune in to Obama

They’ve already been in school for nearly a week, but students at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School joined with schools across the nation Tuesday to hear a special welcome back message.
Classes at Diman tuned in to listen and watch President Barack Obama welcome back students to another school year. Obama’s address was televised from Wakefield High School in Arlington, Va.
Obama shared stories of his personal experiences and called on students to take responsibility for their own actions during the school year.
After talking about the responsibilities he has placed at the feet of parents and teachers, Obama shifted the discussion to the students themselves.
“But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, the best schools in the world — and none of it will make a difference," Obama said, "none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities, [...]
