The School Committee will be hitting the road.
After holding regular monthly meetings exclusively at Henry Lord Middle School, the committee will now hold it’s gatherings at three schools on a rotating basis in an effort to make meetings more accessible.
School department Chief Operating Officer Thomas Coogan said meetings will be held at Matthew J. Kuss Middle School and Spencer Borden Elementary School, in addition to Henry Lord. The group will hold its June meeting in B.M.C. Durfee High School’s Nagle Auditorium to correspond with graduation ceremonies for Durfee Evening School.
The committee’s regular meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. As of Friday, the school department’s Web site indicated the committee’s March 8 meeting is still scheduled to take place at Henry Lord.
Coogan said schools were considered as meeting places based on parking availability and auditorium or cafetorium space.
