A series of seasonal and H1N1 flu clinics have been scheduled througout the city for the start of the new year.
According to Supervisor of Public Health Nurses Linda Francoeur, a youth clinic will be held on Thursday, Jan. 7, in the lobby of Government Center from 5 to 7 p.m. The clinic will be offered to youths ages 4 to 18 who live in or attend school in Fall River. All children must be accompanied by a parent.
This is the first time the city will offer a flu clinic for children younger than 10. Francoeur said a second dose is required for children ages 4 to 9. That session will be held on Feb. 4. A written explanation of the follow-up shot will be given to parents on the day of the clinic.
