Fall River lecture series will offer a fresh look at Lizzie Borden
Lizzie Borden aficionados have a chance to get to know the infamous Fall River lady even better.
The Fall River Historical Society will offer a lecture series focused on the woman who has garnered local and national attention since the 1892 double murder of her father and stepmother was left unsolved.
The case has afforded generations the opportunity to sift through testimony and books, looking for clues about whether Lizzie Borden wielded the hatchet that killed Andrew and Abby Borden in their downtown home.
“Lizzie A. Borden: The Lecture Series” will offer seven lectures from Sept. 14 to Nov. 4. The lectures will be held on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. at Bristol Community College’s Siegel Health Technologies Building, Room C111.
