Fall River closing the book on this year’s sale
The 16th century thinker Desiderius Erasmus famously said, "If I have a little money I buy books; and if any is left, I buy food and clothes.”
The annuual Fall River Public Library book sale ends today, and it’s possible to buy a lot of books without jeopardizing the budget for food and clothing.
The annual book sale, sponsored by the Friends of the Fall River Public Library, started Wednesday and ends at 4 p.m. Tables upon tables of tomes await the eager reader, all priced under $1. You can get some children’s books for a dime and today, they’ll let you fill a bag with books for just $3.
