Fall River agencies plan Project Homeless Connect Day

In an effort to provide homeless individuals in the city with essential goods and services, the Fall River Homelessness Service Providers Coalition will hold Fall River’s first Project Homeless Connect Day on Friday, Aug. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bristol Community College, 777 Elsbree St.
The event will connect homeless individuals with providers of housing, mental health, legal, medical and financial services. Businesses, nonprofits and government agencies will be on site to provide dental care, food, housing opportunities, hygiene products, medical health services, substance abuse treatment, entitlement benefits, identification cards, legal advice and more.
Volunteers, sponsors and service providers are still needed in order for the event to provide the most positive effect on the homeless community. To help make Project Homeless Connect Day a success, or for more information, call Mary Camara at 508-679-0131 or Rosa Medeiros at 508-675-4159.
