Citizen satisfaction survey to be conducted in Tiverton

The Tiverton Police Department, in conjunction with Roger Williams University, will conduct a citizen satisfaction survey.
Beginning this month, the Justice System Training and Research Institute at Roger Williams will mail surveys to a random group of residents and businesses in Tiverton. Recipients of the questionaire are asked to complete them anonymously and mail them in pre-paid envelopes to Roger Williams University.
According to Police Chief Thomas Blakey, the department requested this survey to gauge its readiness for the national accreditation process.
“The input of residents and business people in the community is important as a means of contributing to the police department’s efforts to effectively and efficiently serve the community,” said Blakey.
The survey is being conducted by the university with no cost incurred by Tiverton taxpayers.
