Schmid announces addition of campaign manager
Paul Schmid, Democratic candidate for the 8th Bristol Representative seat, announced the hiring of John Long as his campaign manager.
“We are thrilled to have John Long on board,” Schmid said. “John brings experience in several local campaigns, as well as a wealth of contacts and friendships across generations in our communities. I have known and admired his father, John Patrick Long, for years and of course his grandfather, the late John Long, held the very seat I seek for 24 years.”
Coogan earns backing of MBTA union
Michael J. Coogan, candidate for the State Senate seat of the First Bristol and Plymouth District, has received the endorsement of the executive board and membership of the Boston Carmen’s Union Local 589 of the Amalgamated Transit Union, AFL/CIO-CLC. The group represents 5,900 Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority employees.
