Authorities continue search for alleged kidnapper
Kimberly Johnson, the woman suspecting of kidnapping her half-sister’s 1-year-old daughter from a Swansea gas station, was still missing on Friday.
The child, Jaylin Boudria, was found Thursday afternoon in a Middletown, Conn. parking lot by a utility worker, who immediately called police. Middletown police said Boudria may have been alone for 30 to 40 minutes. She was taken to a Hartford hospital, where she was joined by her father, police said.
Boudria was found a few hours after her mother reported her missing from the Shell gas station at the corner of Routes 6 and 136. Swansea police said the girl’s mother, who was not named, went inside the convenience store to get her daughter a drink. Boudria and another daughter were left inside in the car, but the other girl got out of the car and Johnson took off with Boudria, police said.
